Campfires are only permitted between April 24th 2025 and October 2025.

Campfires are not permitted between November and April.

Please refrain from requesting fires between November and April, as any refusal may cause offense.

Pemberton lies in a high-risk fire region due to its dense Karri Forest and the thick forest understory. A campfire within the park is a unique privilege to be enjoyed by our guests.

Our fire regulations are formulated to protect all guests rights with special regard to yours and their stay. Adherence to these simple rules are a requirement of your stay.

​Fire pit hire - $10
Firewood - $22 per bag (approx. 18kg)
Firelighters - $6

Fire pit hire and wood must be organised in person with the office before 4pm.

  • No Fires will be permitted on days of a total fire ban.

  • Fires MUST be attended at all times by a responsible person.

  • 10 litres of water must be beside the fire pit when in use.

  • All fires are to be extinguished with water before midnight.

  • Collecting of kindling from the park forest floor is allowed.

  • Harvesting firewood from trees is forbidden.

  • No treated timber products are to be burnt on park grounds.

  • Fires are only permitted in the fire pits provided or an approved device determined by the Park Manager.

  • Do not allow spillage of fire onto surrounding ground around fire pits.

  • All flammable materials to be at least 2 meters distance from fire pit.

  • Please remove all unburnt wood on departure or stack neatly next to the fire pit.

  • No chopping, splitting, or chain sawing of wood is permitted within the park grounds.

  • Staff have the authority to ban all fires on days of high risk.

  • Behavior of a reckless nature with fire as deemed by our staff will result in eviction from the park.

  • Staff have authority to ban all fires on days of high risk.

  • Fires are for sites only - not permitted for cabins. 

  • Stay warm and safe.
